Crosman 2240 Custom Carbine

CAUTION: Airguns are Not Toys and must be handled with Extreme Caution and Safety at All Times. Handle any Airgun as if it were loaded. Always keep it pointed down range or away from any people. Read all directions and cautions before handling. Adult Supervision is strongly advised. Make sure your back stop is adequate to stop any stray rounds or flyers. Never shoot at a hard surface as your bb or pellet may  ricochet and strike someone or something unintentionally.

Above: The Crosman 2240. I can't imagine a better air pistol to modify or do an all out custom build with than the Crosman 2240. The possibilities are endless. I say this because someone is always coming up with something new for the 2240. After doing a custom  2300 Silhouette custom pistol and a 2240 pistol . I thought it might be fun to do a 2240 carbine.

Above: Here I am ready to assemble the 2240 carbine. I have decided on a 14.50" Crosman rifled steel barrel. I have installed the Trigger Sear Spring adjuster assembly. As I normally do I will be also using a Crosman Steel Breech Kit in .22 caliber. I have ordered a fore grip rest wood black semi gloss finish from Hird Hawks Design in England. I am already questioning my choices (not a good sign)

Above: Jump ahead, way ahead. It's finished and I don't like it. I decide, to sell it. Turns out nobody else likes it either. I knew shortly after ordering the custom fore grip that I should have gone to a longer tube and a longer fore grip. Second big mistake, The Scope. I have no real problem with it being cheap, sometimes cheap is ok. But if your gonna go cheap you better do your research. Then I compounded the problem by adding the tactical laser  and flashlight. Now it looks bulky and cheap.
It has the multi color choice, multi brightness settings light up cross-hairs. It's crap without excellent light. Maybe ok out of doors but total crap in my poorly lit garage range.
